New Bike for Bailey

After almost two weeks of riding a bike that was too small, Bailey got up the nerve to try Taylor's old 20" bike. She loves it and can't wait to ride as much as possible everyday.

New Bike for Natalie

Natalie got a new bike too. She kept trying to ride the only trike we had which was too big for her. So I got her a smaller trike where her feet could reach the pedals. She like it when someone pushes her around.

Skateboarding Taylor

Taylor was trying to skateboard while everyone else was riding their bikes.

Rollerblading Rachel

Rachel wanted her picture taken too. Here she was on her roller blades while taking Freckles for a walk.

Down Came the Rain

Down came the rain and washed the spider out... Natalie loves this song. Here she was getting us to sing to her while she waited for the bus. She must have been cold as she insisted on sitting by the door under this blanket. Joe told her that she only got 10 times to sing the song a day and that she shouldn't use up all those times before she got on the bus. LOL

Automatic Table Cleaner

We took this picture of Natalie after she climbed across the table after dinner. We had Chinese for dinner and she got most of the fallen rice stuck to her shirt and pants.

One Millioneth Picture of Rachel

This is another self portrait of Rachel. I picked this one out of about 30 that she put on my camera this weekend. Her camera is in the shop. We are waiting to hear whether or not they can fix it or if we'll get a new one under our extended warranty.

Getting Some Excercise?

Bailey was jogging/running on our treadmill while I was in the garage. She was able to keep up with it going much faster than I thought.

Natalie Takes a Turn Too

Natalie could not let something go by untried by her. So we let her walk on the treadmill too. She had a blast. Bailey got it going very slow for Natalie. She didn't even fall once while it was moving.

Moving Slide?

Natalie discovered that if she sat down, it was just as much fun to ride down the treadmill on her bottom, as it was to walk on it. Wheee!

Coach Joe

Here's a picture of Joe coaching third base during Joseph's game. Now that Joe's retired he's getting to spend more time helping out with the kids teams rather than just watch on the weekends.

Loving Sisters?

From this picture you wouldn't know that they fought like cats and dogs for most of the evening. After this picture was taken, they both settled in the family room to watch a movie together. Go figure.

One More in Braces

Rachel got braces put on both her top and bottom teeth yesterday. She took some Advil before going to school, so they didn't start to bother her until near the end of school. She got her last three baby teeth pulled last week. You can see one of the space in the front on the left.

Bottoms Up?

Rachel got this bar that spans her palette too. Her teeth are feeling much better today.

Newest Art Work

Looks like we have a budding artist in the house. NOT! This is the new wall in the room over the garage after Natalie took red and black markers to it. I wonder what she was trying to draw?

Big step for Bailey

Bailey finally got the nerve up to try riding her bike without training wheels. We've tried a few times before, but tonight she took off on the first try and rode down the street. WTG Bailey!!!

On two wheels

It took about 30 minutes, but Bailey finally figured out how to get started by herself. Bailey said that riding without training wheels is a lot more fun. We had to go inside because it was getting dark.

Spring is Here!

Despite the day being quite chilly for spring, everyone at our house spend a lot of time outside. Joe spend several hours spreading out 25 bags of top soil and grass seed in the backyard where the grass was either very thin or non existent. This picture was taken just before he sprayed Taylor as he came out of the backyard. We also took the cover of the pool, but I didn't get any pictures of that.

Gardener in Training

Taylor helped today by planting almost all of the impatients in the bed on the right side of the house. I have put impatients in this bed for the past 5 years and they always do great. We are looking forward to another very colorful year.

Great Helper

Bailey got in on the act this year and helped me plant some petunias in this bed along with impatients and merigolds I planted the day before. Today was a very blustery day, as Pooh would have said. It was only in the mid 60's and the wind made it feel much colder than that.

Busy Box

Most of the growth in this planter came back from plants we planted last spring that Joseph brought home from school. We planted mint in the back left corner and now the mint can be found more than half way across the bed. The other green leafs on the left side of the bed are strawberry plants. I have added some petunias, impatients and merigolds for color. Hopefully they will fill in the bare spots.

Hostas Galore

I spread out the hostas this spring and now they fill the entire box on this side of the house. They plants always grow like crazy no matter if I attend to them or not. They are definitely my kind of plant.
