Third Place Finish

Taylor's volleyball team played in their last tournament today. It's been a month since Taylor played in a tournament and I was shocked by how much she has improved.

Everyone sat out one game while the coach's daughter painted their finger nails.

At the last tournament, Taylor did not get one overhand server over the net. Today, Taylor's overhand serve was deadly, she had many aces and only missed two serves all day. After she got three over in a row, the coach told her that she could not underhand server anymore.

Taylor's team finished tied for 2nd during pool play with a record of 5-3, but lost 2 out of 3 games in the semifinals to end up with 3rd place medals. WTG Forecast!!!

A Dirty Kid is a Happy Kid

side of the house to the backyard between the pool and the fence.

Opening Day for Baseball & Softball

Joe spent half of the day with Joseph and Bailey at opening day ceremonies. All teams got to run on the the field as they were announced. Then each team got it's picture taken for the web site and then played a one inning exhibition game. Later in the day, Bailey's team had it's first official game. They won 13-8. Joseph's first official game is Wednesday.

Saturday Volleyball

Rachel's volleyball team played in a tournament, winning all games except for one which put them in 1st place at the end of the day. WTG Syrens!!!

First Track Meet

Taylor made the middle school track team. She decided that she wanted to run the mile. She started out in front right from the start and never looked back. Here's her lead 2/3 around the first lap.

This is the home stretch as Taylor kicked it in gear to the finish line. Her closest competitor isn't even in this picture.

Taylor crossed the finish line in 1st place with a time of 6:46. The second place finisher was 26 second behind her. WTG Taylor!!!

Garage - Phase 2

I replaced my old garage pantry shelves this weekend with new ones that match the ones on the other side of the garage. The old plastic ones were starting to bow from the weight of the cans and bottles.

Snowy and Sunny

If you look closely, you can see big white flakes of snow in this picture.

A few minutes later, the sun came out while it continued to snow.

I have never seen it sunny and snowing at the same time, until today.
